Step by Step Dishwasher Installation Guide
It seems you are worried about your newly arrived
dishwashers. Your kitchen is eagerly waiting for a new member to clean up all
the messy plates and spoons. You don’t need to worry anymore. Dishwasher
installation is not so simple but can be easily done if you know the steps.
Just a few tools and a guide will definitely do the work for you.
Step-1
Open up the Dishwasher
The first thing you will do is the open up the box,
take your dishwasher out and settle it down. Unpack the box and observe all the
parts with a keen eye. See carefully whether all the required equipment is
present in the tool kit. Mostly dishwashers come with the water line and
drainage pipe. You just have to measure the distance and manage to have an
adapter to put the pipes flat in place. Do not drag the machine out as it can
damage it. Check the door of the dishwasher that there isn’t any resistance in
the hinges of the door Keep the box along with you unless you are sure that
there is no fault in the dishwasher at the time of delivery.
Step-2
Attach the Cables and Pipes
Read down the instruction manual of the dishwasher
and connect the cables and pipes accordingly. It is better not to attach the
pipes and cables directly. Make a hole in the cabinet besides which the
dishwasher will be fixed and where the water connection will meet the
dishwasher. Attach one end to the water connection line in the cabinet and the
other with the water pipe adapter. You can use a wrench to fix it tightly and
properly.
Step-3
Secure the Dishwasher under the Counter
Next thing to do is to set up the dishwasher in a
secure position. Position it in the front form; the front door facing toward
you and slightly push it backwards. Make sure there is no rough edges around
the cabinets that can scratch the sides. Fix the dishwasher under the counter
of the cabinets. Remember to install your dishwasher with the cabinet directly
linked to the sink. Wastage will thus be directly drained out in the sink.
Drill small holes in the wooden areas of the side cabinets and attach the
dishwasher with them through screws and anchors. In this way the dishwasher
will not move recklessly when you use it.
Step-4
Connect Drain and water Line to Dishwasher
Now with the help of a friend, connect the drainage
and water line to the dishwasher. Attach the water line with the hot water
valve of the dishwasher in order to maintain a water temperature balance. Use
Teflon tape to attach all the pipe lines and double check any leakage or
dripping. Once the water line is connected, attach the racks trays, and kick
plate and turn on the power to check how it is working.
